
West Virginia Wesleyan College and Fairmont State University both placed football players on the 2011 Don Hensen All-American teams. In total, nine WVIAC players made the list.
WVWC wide receiver Jon Meadows made Second-Team Offense. The senior is also a First-Team Daktronics All-Super Region One pick and First-Team All-WVIAC. Meadow caught 99 passes for 1, 275 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Bobcats' defensive end Jonas Celian is a member of the Second-Team Defense. The senior grabbed 67 tackles, 21 for a loss. Celian also recorded 12 sacks, four fumble recoveries and one interception.
Also making the Second-Team Defense is Fairmont State return specialist Matt Wilmer. Other accolades for Wilmer include the Super Region One Special Teams Player of the year, First-Team Daktronics All-Super Region One and First-Team All-WVIAC. Wilmer finished the season as the top punt returner in all of NCAA Division II football. He averaged 23 yards a return. Wilmer also recorded the best NCAA D-II punt return in the 2011 season. It was a 93 yard run against Clarion. On the season, Wilmer totaled 530 yards.
WVWC star quarterback Adam Neugebauer is on the honorable mention list.
