The ACLU wants the commission to stop funding the festival saying that it violates the Constitution.

It has asked the commission for all papers showing requests for funding and all commission agenda minutes relating to funding applications.

The commission has asked for more time to gather the papers.

The deadline is just five days away.

Commissioner Bernie Fazzini said the funding is fair and only looks at the impact on quality of life and the economy, when considering funding requests.
