Upshur County's Home Confinement Program said it saved taxpayers more than $400,000 in regional jail fees last year.
The program collected more than $69,000 in fees.
It's an alternative sentence for non violent offenders who might otherwise go to jail.
Upshur County had a total of 91 clients on the program.
Most of the offenses were DUI or driving-related.
The sheriff's department said the program allows these offenders to stay out of jail and pay restitution.
Upshur County has had the program since the early 1990s.
It averages about 30 clients a month.
