FAIRMONT -

The Marion County Sheriff's Department arrested a man accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

Timothy Biggs, 31, is charged with unlawful wounding.

Biggs forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's house and beat her up, according to the criminal complaint.

Biggs struck the victim multiple times and dragged her across the house, deputies said.

There was also a young child in the house during the altercation.

Biggs is in the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $15,000.
