
The White Hall Police arrested a man accused of stealing and using a woman's checkbook.
Chad Ballard, 30, is charged with grand larceny, forgery, and uttering.
Chief Geno Guierrieri said Ballad went to the Wal-Mart in White Hall and bought more than $2,000 worth of electronics with the woman's check.
He purchased an iPad, laptop, flat screen TV, and other items.
White Hall Police and Clarksburg Police served a search warrant at a house on East Pike Street in Clarksburg onThursday.
Authorities found Ballard and the stolen items.
Ballard is out of jail on bond.
