National Signing Day gave athletes all across the country an opportunity to sign a letter of intent to continue their careers at the next level. It's not the only day athletes can make that decision. It's just the beginning.

Catie Riggleman inked her name to West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday, continuing her career on the soccer field.

Riggleman will be utilized as a defender with the Lady Bobcats. She said it was a quick decision as WVWC Head Coach Patrick Holguin invited Riggleman to a tryout, then offered her a position on the team the very next day.

Catie said Wesleyan was always her choice for academics and soccer is a nice extra.

"Well I want to do nursing and then after nursing I want to go on to chiropractic school. Soccer just kind of played into it, just a bonus."
