Webster County High School held its Financial Aid and FAFSA Information Night Thursday.
The event was designed to help high school juniors, seniors and their parents navigate the financial aid process and fill out their FAFSA forms.
Representatives from the College Foundation of West Virginia were on hand to answer questions and provide one-on-one help and assistance.
The event wasn't just for students planning to attend a four year university.
Information for two-year programs, trade schools, and community or technical colleges also was available.
"Probably one of the most valuable things we do throughout the year are the college trips," said GearUp Site Coordinator Cara Phillips. "Where these students that are graduating this year, probably have been to ten different colleges in the state of West Virginia. Which they would have never been able to if it hadn't been for West Virginia GearUp."
This is just one of many GearUp college prep events offered at Webster County High School to help kids get focused on going to and finishing college.
