Davis & Elkins College has selected a new volleyball coach to lead the Lady Senators. Ashley Pappas took over the job in Elkins on Jan. 23.
Pappas makes the move to D&E from West Virginia University. The Illinois native was the Assistant Volleyball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Mountaineers.
Pappas played at WVU from 2004-2007 under Head Coach Veronica Hammersmith. In her career as a Mountaineer in 314 games she recorded 265 kills and 501 digs. Pappas was a letterman all four years and a captain in her senior campaign.
Pappas graduated from WVU in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Psychology. She started coaching the Mountaineers, under Hammersmith, in 2008 and continued on the staff through 2010 and through the transition to new Head Coach Jill Kramer.
