
Bluefield State finished second in the WVIAC Men's Tennis ranks last season. The league coaches have picked the Big Blues to take first place this season. Bluefield State received six first place votes in the poll.
West Virginia Wesleyan is selected to finish runner-up. The Bobcats did receive two first place votes. Davis & Elkins is picked fifth and Fairmont State ninth.
WVWC made an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2011. The Bobcats return Thomas Bartleman, Eduard Gusevs and Javier Yim Kim.
D&E will look for 2011 all-conference selection Agustin Ochoa to perform this year. He is ranked 20th in the region, seventh in doubles. The Senators also boast talented freshman. Leonardo Vieira is fifth in the region in singles and Simon Meriau is 11th.
Fairmont State will look to replace WVIAC Player of the Year Fabien Mevs. The Falcons will play under a new head coach in 2012, Ryan Pulliam.
