There will be an outside, independent investigation into the claims of excessive police force on an elderly man in Gilmer County, according to a news release from the Gilmer County Prosecuting Attorney Gerry Hough.
Prosecutor Gerry Hough has contacted the Special Division of Professional Standards for State law Enforcement Officers, located in south Charleston.
To avoid the appearance of bias in the companion case, Hough has applied for a special prosecutor to handle the case.
