Morgantown Police officers have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery on Monday, according to a news release from Morgantown Police Department.
Officials said the report came in at approximately 11:23 a.m. that an armed robbery had occurred at Sam's Auto Repair located at 1535 Sabraton Ave.
Business owner Sam Luci told police that an unknown individual came into his shop and took approximately $1,000 in cash. Officials said Luci said the person came up behind him, told him he had a gun and removed cash from Luci's pocket.
Luci then told officials that the person left driving a dark colored vehicle with a license plate ending in ‘847', according to the news release.
Morgantown officers said they stopped a vehicle matching the description on Carlisle Ave., blocks away from Sam's Auto Repair.
Michael Eddy, the driver of the vehicle, was arrested and charged with robbery, officials said.
Officers said Eddy admitted to them at the scene that he had taken the money from Luci.
