The baseball season is still very young, but the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has begun handing out weekly awards.
Alderson-Broaddus' Kirby Clemens is this week's WVIAC Baseball Player of the Week.
The Ontario, Ohio native was 6-10 at the plate on the week and recorded six RBIs. The sophomore hit a double and a home run and scored one run over the weekend.
This is just the second Player of the Week honor for the 2012 baseball season and Clemens is the first local player to receive the award.
