Tyler Sprouse has a shooters mentality.
"The first thing I do is look at the guy's feet to see how they're playing me," Sprouse said. "I'll give him a jab or something just to see how they react to that. But honestly if they're giving me a little space then I'm looking to shoot."
The Indians are coming off a season-defining week where they knocked off #9 North Marion and #4 Fairmont Senior. And Tyler hit big shot, after big shot, after big shot. Indians head coach Gene Randolph has witnessed the growth of his confident point guard.
"When you contrast where he was as a freshman to where he is now, it's leaps and bounds," Bridgeport head coach Gene Randolph said. "He's just evolved into a complete player. He does so many things for us. He hit a few monster shots in the midst of that week and we're hoping that trend continues as we finish out our season and head into postseason play."
"We have a shot at making a run at something," Sprouse added. "Our goal since day one has been getting to the state tournament and so it's going to be tough; we understand that. But that's our goal is to make it to the state tournament. If we get there then we'll try to make some noise."
As winners of six our of their last seven games, the Indians have already made some noise. Now it's time to carry that over to the postseason.
