The Clarksburg Police Detective Division is investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred at 3:20 a.m. Thursday.
Detective Dave Wygal said a man was driving at the corner of Hayman Highway and Harrison St. when he stopped for an obstruction in the road. The victim told police that a black man with a handgun robbed him of his money.
The victim said he was able to recover his wallet and called 911 approximately twenty minutes later.
The victim told police that the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and that he had a scar above his eye.
