A man accused of murder in the shooting death of his wife was in court Thursday.

Theodore Newlon, 81, waived the time frame for his preliminary hearing.

Newlon's attorney requested an extension to allow for more investigating and psychiatric evaluation.

Newlon's next court appearance will be March 7.

He remains in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
