Local singers had the chance to show their vocal skills at the Three Rivers Festival in Fairmont.
A local group is kicking off their annual fight against cancer today.
The Shinnston-Lumberport Relay for Life kicked off with a party in Shinnston on Sunday afternoon at the First United Methodist Church.
Some cancer survivors who volunteer came out to support the party, but organizers say they do far more for the group.
"When the survivors come around the lap, that's probably the best part of the night, because I think they instill hope. It's exciting that there is a chance you can beat this," said event chair Alexis McCoy.
The Shinnston-Lumberport Relay will take place in late June.
