Davis and Elkins College in Randolph County welcomed some prospective students Monday afternoon.
Around 2,000 students applied to D & E for the upcoming school year.
The school welcomed 60 visitors.
The college said information sessions like the one held today leads to higher enrollment numbers.
"About half of the students who come to campus and do a tour and meet our staff do end up enrolling at D & E," said Kara Fisher, Manager Enrollment Programs. "So it does make a difference to visit the campus and walk the grounds."
Prospective students and their families spent Monday afternoon touring the campus and even checking out the dining hall.
