Fairmont State women's basketball suffered probably its toughest loss of the season on Saturday to Concord. The Falcons dropped a heard breaker at home on a buzzer beater from the Mountain Lions. For her efforts on the week, FSU junior Kaitlin Snyder has received her third WVIAC Player of the Week award for the season. Ironically, this week she shares the accolade with Concord senior Jolysa Brown.

Charleston native Snyder averaged more than 26 points in a 2-1 week for FSU. The guard hit 50 percent of her shots from the floor. Snyder also averaged more than 6 assists and five rebounds per game over the week.

Snyder had a career night against D&E early on in the week, scoring 42 points. That matched this season's record for single game scoring total in a D-II game. She hit 15 two-pointers against the Senators and seven threes.

In a win over Charleston, Snyder had 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and eight assists.

In the loss to Concord it was 13 points and eight assists for Snyder.

WVWC's Lydia Bridenbaugh was named as another top performer.
