Davis Health System pharmacies now offer a West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency program.

The "Face to Face" program offers people insured by PEIA and diagnosed with diabetes one-on-one counseling with a pharmacist.

The program also covers prescriptions and lab work.

"We go over their test results, how their blood glucose readings have been running and we can also talk about any issues concerning diabetes that they may want to have more information about," said Pharmacist Candice Pudder.

Pudder said the program saves patients money and participants tend to be healthier than non-participants.
