The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department is still mourning the death of Sergeant Todd May.

It has placed a black stripe across the badge at the entrance of the sheriff's department's building and hung a uniform below it.

The sheriff's department will hold a funeral procession on Friday and is encouraging the public to show its support by lining University and Beechurst Avenues as the procession passes.

"We're encouraging any business that wants to show tribute in the windows, at their place of business they can do so," said Mike Wolfe, MECCA 911. "We will also have a procession that will come from the church, through town, before we go to the final resting place. That will allow the public to come out and lined the streets."
