FAIRMONT -

Six public relations seniors at West Virginia University have launched a Fairmont "Buy Local" campaign for their Capstone Project.

It was made possible with a $5,000 campus-community LINK grant.

The students are looking for local residents to participate in a focus group on Thursday night.

They want to hear people's opinions about shopping locally something they said can be a huge benefit to the community.

"Meeting with the business owners and them telling their own individual story, it's really important to me that these businesses succeed and that what we do has an actual impact," said WVU PR student Samantha Esposito.

Participants will receive a $20 VISA gift card.

You have until the end of Tuesday night to sign up for the focus group via email.
