Test It Tuesday: InstaHang

Posted: Updated:

On this week's Test It Tuesday we try InstaHang.

InstaHang claims to be the secure and easy way to decorate, organize and remodel your home in a matter of seconds.

There's little prep-work required with InstaHang.

Load the pegs into the peg dispenser and you're ready to decorate.

Directions say to press down firmly on the InstaHang button so that the peg is released into the wall.

My first try didn't go so well.

The peg barely went into the wall and when I tried to hang the mirror, the peg fell out.

The next time I tried, the peg got stuck in the InstaHang dispenser and I had to wiggle it out.

On the third try, the peg stuck into the wall and I was able to hang my mirror.

One feature I like is the built-in leveler.

Next, I tried to hang my clock.  InstaHang passed my clock test on the first try.

Each peg is supposed to hold up to 10 pounds.

For my third test, I tried to hang a new sign I bought.

The sign is pretty heavy so I was curious it InstaHang would live up to its claim.

It took me a few seconds to get the sign hanging straight but it worked; no nails, no mess, and it was safe enough to do on my own.

I tried one more quick test with a hook that came in the refill kit.

I punched the peg into the wall, placed the hook on top, and was able to hang my towel with ease.

I can honestly say I was surprised by InstaHang.

It worked, it was easy to use, and I think I can officially put my hammer away the next time I need to hang a picture or something else in my apartment.
