MORGANTOWN -
Morgantown Police officers were led on an overnight car chase shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, leading to the arrest of one.
Police arrested Jacob Cooper, 20, from Clay, W.Va. and have charged him with fleeing police while DUI.
Cooper was spotted Sunday by officers Judy and Poremba, of the Morgantown Police Department, spinning the tires of his Camaro on High St.
When approached by the police, Cooper drove away, nearly striking an officer.
Police followed the vehicle down High St. and Walnut St. where Cooper was eventually stopped at Fayette St. near Chestnut St. after congested traffic blocked the road.
No property was damaged during the chase, nor was anyone injured.
