MORGANTOWN -

In a box or with a fox, either way, the Morgantown Library celebrated Dr. Seuss Saturday.

March 2, was Dr. Suess' birthday, and all month the Library is celebrating his legacy.

Saturday, the Morgantown Library hosted a "Happy Birthday" Dr. Seuss event.

Kids and parents flooded the library for some Who fun, green-eggs and ham, and plenty of arts and crafts.

A librarian said the great thing about these events are getting the kids get excited about the library and reading.

"It's nice to get families into the library, that's our main goal," said Cathy McMaster of the Morgantown Library. "We want you to come to the library, have fun at the program, and then keep coming back to check out books."

Saturday's event was sponsored by the Shelley A. Marshall Foundation. Started after the loss of Shelley Marshall on Sept. 11. The foundation donates to organizations that share her interests like reading and the arts.
