MORGANTOWN -
Kids, universities and scientists across the country celebrate nanotechnology during the month of March.
Members of West Virginia University visited the Children's Discovery Museum of West Virginia to teach kids about the technology Saturday.
Organizers said many people don't understand what nanotechnology is, and while it's already a part of our lives, they said it will become a bigger part in the future.
"Nanotechnology technology is already a part of our lives and with the research going on at universities and eventually there will be more nanotechnology in our electronics, our biomedical devices, with drug delivery for health, things like that," said Anikenta Shindee, an Education Coordinator with WVU Nano.
Nanoscience is the study of items at an atomic and molecular size. Those items measure at one-billionth of a meter.
