The Morgantown Farmers Market is excited to be moving on to its summer season.
Saturday was the last Morgantown Winter Farmers Market. It was held at Marilla Park, but will be moving outdoors come May.
For the first half of the summer, the market will have a temporary location due to the construction of its new pavilion that has a few "bells and whistles" that the farmers are excited to have.
"They're particularly excited that we're going to have a commercial kitchen to go along with our pavilion, so we will be able to have cooking demonstrations. It will be great because people always ask, ‘Here's some Swiss Chard, what do I do with it? I have no idea,'" said market manager Lisa Lagana.
The new pavilion called the Morgantown Marketplace is to open in July. Until then, market will take place in the parking lot behind Daniel's at the corner or Fayette and Chestnut street.
Summer market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.
