The Fairmont Rehabilitation Center helped area kids have a special Easter.
Saturday afternoon the rehab center held their 5th annual Easter Egg Hunt for children with disabilities.
Hundreds of eggs were hidden throughout the building that is compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act and also outside. Kids were able to fill up baskets, win great prizes and, of course, take home lots of chocolate.
"I think every year I was hearing complaints that some of the patients were coming in and saying, ‘You know we can't find any eggs at our Easter egg hunt.' They went and they had like four eggs, they didn't get a full basket like all the other kids, so I thought, let's just do one for just children with disabilities so everyone has a good fair shot at getting plenty of eggs," said event director Luke Davis.
Fairmont Rehabilitation Center is a part of Fairmont General Hospital. Coordinators said the event has grown in size every year.
