WEBSTER SPRINGS -
Webster County held its annual Wood-chopping Festival in Webster Springs Saturday.
Residents welcomed people from all over the U.S. to compete in wood chopping on Bakers Island in Webster Springs. Crowds also turned out for the Jack and Jill sawing and the Paul Bunyan Grand Parad.
"The first thing we've seen today is the Jack and Jill sawing," said Elaine Henning of Walworth, New York.
"We're going to be having cook outs, doing things with our family, watching the chopping. We're looking forward to the fireworks on Sunday. We're looking forward to quite a few things," said Annie Pugh, a native of Webster Springs.
The annual parade also featured motorcycles and cars from a car show, school bands and completive twirlers from across the area.
