The West Virginia State Police and the Marion County Sheriff's Department have arrested two people in Idamay on kidnapping charges and expect other charges to follow.

The W.Va. State Police Fairmont Detachment received a complaint from Matthew Delovich Wednesday, stating that he had just escaped Jonathon Cochran, 30, and Andrea Jarrell, 20, who had kidnapped him at gun point, according to a criminal complaint from state police.

Delovich told state police that he was at his residence in Monongah when Jarrell called him and asked him to go swimming. He said that when Jarrell came to pick him up, Cochran got out of her car, pulled out a pistol and demanded that Delovich get into the car with them.

The three then traveled to a Morgantown CVS Pharmacy where Cochran demanded that Delovich go inside and purchase Sudafed medication using Jarrell's credit card, according to the criminal complaint.

Delovich told state police that Cochran threatened to shoot him if he warned anyone about Cochran or Jarrell.

After leaving CVS, the three traveled back to Marion County, stopping at various back roads in Farmington, Baxter, Idamay and Rachel areas to make meth, according to the criminal complaint.

Delovich said they then stopped back at his residence before traveling back to Idamay. According to the criminal complaint, while the vehicle was slowed by traffic, Delovich jumped out of the vehicle and ran away, calling his father to pick him up.

After obtaining a search warrant, the authorities went to an Idamay residence around 2 p.m. to detain Jarrell and Cochran for questioning.

Authorities said upon further investigation at the residence, they found a mobile clandestine meth lab, weapons and stolen property.

Cochran also threatened to shoot specific members of law enforcement if he had the opportunity, authorities said.

Cochran and Jarrell are being held without bond in the North Central Regional Jail.
