A state panel in Charleston soon will hear ethics charges against former Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney Richard Busch.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board released a two-count statement of charges against Busch back in February.

It charged Busch with a violation of the rules of professional conduct in two separate cases:

The Judy Mae Blake case in 2009, and the Autumn Ray Faulkner case in 2011.

Faulkner's trial is scheduled for June 21.

Busch resigned one day before the county commission launched an investigation into the prosecuting attorney's office.

An evidentiary hearing will take place June 12 at 9 a.m. in Charleston.
