Baxter Couple Indicted for Murder

The Marion County Sheriff's Department has charged a Baxter woman with 20 felony counts of forgery and uttering after writing and cashing checks from her deceased father's bank account, according to a criminal complaint document.

Kristyn L. Palmer, 30, was arrested on 10 counts of forgery and 10 counts of uttering. The 10 checks Palmer forged were worth $4,650.

The December 2011 death of Palmer's father is under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff's Department. Officials said Ed Wilson died after his then son in law, Michael Palmer, shot and killed him. Kristyn and Michael were indicted by the Marion County Grand Jury for one count of first degree murder on June 6.

Kristyn Palmer is being held in North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $200,000.

Michael is also being held in North Central Regional Jail without a bail amount set.
