MT. MORRIS, Pa. -
Historic High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pa. was home to the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series this weekend.
The weather was beautiful Saturday, but the racing even better.
Points leader Ryan Dungey got a chance to extend his lead over the rest of the field, and did so, finding himself atop the podium yet again. Dungey won both the Moto 1 and Moto 2 races.
Dungey's lead is a comfortable one in the series standings, but he knows there is no relaxing.
"It's a long season and each race counts just as much from the beginning, so I just need to take it one step at a time and keep building," said Dungey. "At the end of the day we need to capitalize on mistakes but not underestimate anybody, there's a lot of tough competition here."
Local racer and Fairmont State graduate Logan Martin did not run in the event as planned. He withdrew from competition after injuring himself in a practice run.
