Randolph County Grand Jury Hands Down 21 Indictments

The Randolph County grand jury indicted 21 people on Monday.

The following names and charges were released by the Randolph County Prosecutor's Office:

Bradley Allen Reed, 53 of Beverly, was indicted on one count of leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, one count of negligent homicide, one count of unlawful taking of vehicle, one count of unsecured load and one count of petit larceny.

Benjamin William Cottrell, 29 of Elkins, was indicted on 11 counts on failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes, one count of burglary and one count of grand larceny.

Allen Jay Demastus, 34 of Sutton, was indicted on six counts of threats of terrorist acts, 8 counts of retaliation against a public official or employee and one county of battery on a governmental representative.

Justin Pete Short, 29 of Elkins, was indicted on four counts of failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration charges.

Robert Lee Scott, 31 of Elkins, was indicted on four counts of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of conspiracy.

Valerie Jacque McIntyre, also known as Valerie Jacque Scott, 23 of Elkins, was indicted on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of conspiracy.

Justin Thomas Fortney, 27 of Elkins, was indicted on one count of burglary and one count of grand larceny.

Angela Afferette Gould, 42 of Valley Head, was indicted on four counts of forgery and four counts of uttering.

Michael Jay Moore, 19 of Elkins, was indicted on seven counts of forgery, seven counts of uttering and one count of fraudulent use of an access device.

Roger Lee Fortney, Jr., 35 of Elkins, was indicted on one county of burglary, two counts of petit larceny, one count of assault on a governmental representative and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Justin Paul Robinson, 27 of Elkins, was indicted on two counts of burglary and one count of malicious assault.

Seth Wade Goldsmith, 23 of Elkins, was indicted on one count of grand larceny and one count of transfer of stolen goods.

Kristie Dawn Martin, 31 of Harman, was indicted on one count of shoplifting.

Theodore Yeager Newlon, 81 of Kerens, was indicted on one count of murder and one count of wanton endangerment.

Joe Michael Bragg, also known as Michael Joseph Bragg, 27, was indicted on six counts of conspiracy.

Sara Lynette Bryan, 33 of Lesage, was indicted on four counts of attempt of transportation of a controlled substance onto the grounds of a correctional facility, four counts of delivery of contraband to an inmate, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and four counts of conspiracy.

Karena L. Davis, 32 of Nitro, was indicted on six counts of attempt of transportation of a controlled substance onto the grounds of a correctional facility, six counts of delivery of contraband to an inmate, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and eight counts of conspiracy.

Brian Allen Simpkins, 29 of Denmar, was indicted on six counts of conspiracy.

Henry Martin Woody, Jr., 25 of Nitro, was indicted on six counts of attempt of transportation of a controlled substance onto the grounds of a correctional facility, six counts of delivery of contraband to an inmate, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and eight counts of conspiracy.

David Paul Dailey, 36, was indicted on two counts of offense committed by inmate, four counts of retaliation against public official or employee and four counts of battery on a governmental representative.

Richard Clive Devine, 61 of Elkins, was indicted on one count of sexual assault in the first degree, five counts of employment or use of a minor to produce obscene matter or assist in doing sexually explicit conduct, five counts of use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct and five counts of possession of material depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
