Dr. Clyde Mitchell received his medical degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He went on to perform his residency at the United Health and Hospital Services in Kingston, Pennsylvania.

He is certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Mitchell practices pediatric, adult and geriatric medicine and is the Director of St. Joseph's Hospice program.
