The search continues for Skylar Neese, 16, who went missing from Star City 11 days ago.

Star City Police continue to follow all leads and have filed warrants for her cell phone and Internet records.

An early lead that she was seen in North Carolina has turned up nothing.

Neese was last seen on surveillance video at the James Place Apartments on Crawford Avenue.

Star City Police's investigation in North Carolina into the whereabouts of missing Skylar Neese has come to an end.

Earlier in the week, police received a tip that the missing 16-year-old had been located in North Carolina.

Star City began working with the Carolina Beach Police to investigate the tip, but has determined the girl spotted was not Neese.

Neese was last seen at her residence Friday, July 6.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Star City Police Department at 304-599-3550.

Star City Police Chief Vic Propst said they are working with the police department in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, after someone may have spotted Skylar Neese, 16, in their area.

This is still a missing person's case until it can be confirmed, Chief Propst said.

The FBI is also assisting with the search and Chief Propst said they are doing everything they can to locate Neese.

The Star City Police Department is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of a missing girl.

Police said Skylar Neese, 16, of Star City was last seen at her residence on Friday.

Police said foul play is not suspected, but she has not made contact with her family.
