MORGANTOWN -
A Morgantown band called the Staggering Cardoons hosted its annual music festival in Morgantown Saturday. Staggerfest started three years ago as a way to bring local music back into the public spotlight.
The annual festival is modeled after older area music festivals that once featured local talents in the Morgantown area.
"It's been probably 15 years think anything like that's happened and we wanted to bring that back," said Erik Rieder of the Staggering Cardoons. "There is a rich amount of music and artists in this town and we wanted to expose it to a bigger audience."
The festival Began Friday night and will feature 16 artists representing various genres of music.
It concludes Saturday night.
