MORGANTOWN -
The new farmer's market building in Morgantown is getting closer to completion, but won't be ready for it's originally-scheduled opening.
The new building had unexpected delays in construction, and won't be ready to open July 28, but is on course to open up in the next month, manager Lisa Lagana said.
Lagana did not mind waiting some extra time.
"We are definitely extremely excited to get into our new pavilion, however, we've waited a long time just getting the funding together so we're definitely willing to wait a couple of more weeks," she said.
Part of the new pavilion is a culinary design station. The market is in need of chefs, dietitians and nutritionists interested in cooking with the local items sold at the market. If you want to help out you can contact Lagana by emailing her Lisa.Lagana2@gmail.com.
