UPDATE: Due to inclement weather on Friday, the games have been moved to Sunday at Noon.
Baseball fans can see a game every day during the summer months whether it's professional, American Legion, Babe Ruth or Little League. On Thursday, July 19 it will be for a great cause.
Former Bridgeport baseball player Jeremy Hodge is paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair after an accident where he dove head first into a shallow pool. To help out Jeremy, and others going through recovery like him, a fund has been established. It's been named HALO and it stands for Help Against Life's Obstacles.
To help raise money for HALO former Bridgeport baseball players will take to the field at their alma matter on Thursday night to play the MVB American Legion baseball team. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. at the BHS field.
For more information on donating to the HALO fund, contact Erica Starkey at MVB Bank.
