Matt Hauswirth headed to Sunset Beach Marina on Cheat Lake in Morgantown for another Wild, Wonderful Wednesday. Matt has never been water skiing before and he hoped to make it out of the water unscathed.
"Welcome to Sunset Beach Marina," ten-year owner Barry Frey said. "If you'd like to rent a boat, kayak, canoes, pontoons, speed boats, fishing boats; we have pretty much everything you will need. Availability could be an issue. It's a great idea to register in advance before you're arrival. But pretty much any water sports: whether you want to wakeboard, if you want to kneeboard, if you want to wakesurf. We're pretty much familiar with everything. We've been on the lake for a long time."
Frey pulled a boat up to the dock, Matt jumped into the lake and off they went. Matt could see from other water skiers how it was done, but it's a little harder than it looks. Matt ended up switching to tubing.
"It's a lot of fun watching people have fun," Frey said. "Helping them to rent boats and make sure they get an experience that maybe they've never had an opportunity to do. Boating is just a great sport; great family sport."
Matt's attempts at water skiing were pretty unsuccessful but anyone can give it a try at Sunset Beach Marina on Cheat Lake in Morgantown.
