The scene at the Stealey Community Pool on Saturday in Clarksburg was a sight to see.
Saturday marked the 50th Anniversary of the Stealey Swim Meet Invitational. 15 teams from surrounding counties took part in the action, including ages ranging from 6 to 18 years old.
Paul Howe is a parent volunteer for the event and said the history behind the pool is the reason people continue to come back.
"This is the 50th anniversary of the Stealey Invitational," parent volunteer Paul Howe said. "It's a great event. The really nice thing about it is there's a lot of second and third generation swimmers that come back and their parents have swam here or even grandparents and their grandchildren or kids are swimming now. It encompasses about eight or nine counties and about 15 teams. So we've had a lot of swimmers up here this weekend."
