Sunday's gorgeous weather allowed the first ever Jeremy Hodge Charity baseball game to took place in Bridgeport and the turnout from the community was fantastic.
Jeremy Hodge was a former baseball player at Bridgeport High. Jeremy was injured back on July 1st in a swimming accident that has since left him paralyzed from the waist down.
The game between current and former Bridgeport players was originally scheduled for earlier in the week, but the consistent rain showers pushed the game all the way back to Sunday.
Jeremy's mother Marta Hodge is thankful for the outpouring of support from the Bridgeport community and said her son has already begun his long road back to recovery.
"This community has meant the world to us. When you spend ten days in ICU and without the support of all of Jeremy's friends, our friends and family, it would've been a very long road," Marta Hodge said.@
