Fairmont State head coach Mike Lopez returns some key players that will make the Falcons a tough team to beat this season.
First and foremost sophomore running back Daniel Monroe returns to build on his WVIAC Freshman Of The Year season from one year ago.
Fairmont State will also return star safety Dewey McDonald as he headlines a defense that looked phenomenal during the FSU Spring Game a few months ago.
The Falcons were picked to finish fifth this season. Coach Lopez said he likes his team heading into the season.
"There's a lot of things that play into actually winning a conference championship," Fairmont State head coach Mike Lopez said. "You've heard me say this before but it's not our focus primarily. It's about bringing in and recruiting good kids that want to get a degree and want to have an opportunity to be successful citizens and people."
