The second round of the 2012 West Virginia Amateur Championship was suspended on Tuesday after three inclement weather delays and darkness prevented the round to be finished. 

The second round was completed on Wednesday morning at The Greenbrier. Play then continued with the third round.

Heading into the fourth and final round on Thursday, three players are tied for the top spot, each is one over par. 

The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) released exciting news on Wednesday that could effect how players perform Thursday. The Greenbrier has announced that the winner of the 2012 West Virginia Amateur Championship will receive a special exemption to play in the 2013 Greenbrier Classic. The Greenbrier Classic is a PGA Tour, FedEx Cup event.
