Buckhannon-Upshur hosted its annual Soccer Marathon on Saturday from the soccer field at the high school.
It's the sixth year B-U has held the event.
Soccer players from the eight-and-under age group to the Varsity level took part in the action. The players began at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and continued playing until the sun went down at 9 p.m.
Co-President of the Buckhannon-Upshur High School Soccer Boosters Troy Short said it's great to see the youngsters get out and play on the high school field.
"It's just a fun day to come out and play soccer." It gets a lot of the youth on the high school field. They have a great time interacting with the high school players," Short said.
The money raised will go towards the Buckhannon-Upshur soccer program. The action wrapped up Saturday with the annual alumni game.
