The state police said Corporal Andrew Loudin, who was shot in the line of duty last May, is back at work and doing well.

The police said David Dumire shot Corporal Loudin in the chest while Loudin was visiting Dumire as part of an ongoing investigation.

The police said Dumire died of a gunshot wound roughly four hours after he shot Loudin.

State Police are still investigating both the shooting death of Dumire and the shooting that injured Corporal Loudin.
