The Bridgeport United Methodist Church is holding its 45th annual sale through Tuesday, August 21.
The annual rummage sale has raised roughly $20,000 for local charities each year.
The sale's doors opened Friday and organizers said nearly a thousand people came.
Shopping continues Saturday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday is half-price day. Tuesday is bag day, when the sale is open 9 a.m. to noon where shoppers can stuff as many items into a brown grocery bag for $2.
