REEDSVILLE -

It was "wild and wooly" in Reedsville this weekend. The annual W.Va. Fiber Fest took place in Reedsville.

The festival celebrated locally-made fiber products grown and raised by West Virginians.

Chair David Moran said fibers are an important part of the state's history and can be a key part of its future.

"This is the heritage of West Virginia," Moran said. "More importantly, it has a future as a very strong future in West Virginia, an Industry that can help build this state."

The festival is free. It will continue Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the West Virginia University Farm in Reedsville.
