One person is dead after an accident in Preston County Friday afternoon, according to the Preston County Sheriff's Department.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:23 p.m. Friday on Route 3, Brandonville Pike.
The Preston County Sheriff's Department said Samantha Lynn Snare, 18 of Bruceton Mills, lost control of her Pontiac Grand Am, while traveling north on Brandonville Pike.
Sheriff's deputies said Snare's car hit a tree after running off the right side of the road.
Snare died as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash.
