Gilmer County Man Appears in Court on Sexual Assault, Abuse Char - WBOY.com: Clarksburg, Morgantown: News, Sports, Weather

A Gilmer County man appeared before Magistrate Carol L. Wolfe Wednesday on sixty one counts of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Robert Hacker, 48, appeared in court for a preliminary hearing.

Hacker faces six counts of second degree sexual assault, one count of sexual abuse by person of trust, four counts of first degree sexual abuse, one count of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian, three counts of child neglect creating risk of injuries, forty five counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian; one count of harassing, obscene, or threatening phone calls; and one count of domestic battery.

Hacker waived his right to a preliminary hearing on all charges and the cases were bound over to the Gilmer County Circuit Court for further proceedings.

Hacker remains in the Regional Jail with bail set at $225,000.
