
West Virginia State Police responded to an armed robbery Sunday morning near Elkins, according to a news release from the state police.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., Tpr. M.J. Wilson of the Elkins Detachment responded to an armed robbery at Par-Mar located along US 33, near the city of Elkins, Randolph County.
According to state police, the robber entered the establishment, dressed in all black and wearing a black bandana that covered his face.
The robber brandished a small caliber revolver and demanded money from the store clerk, state police said.
The robber then took $301 in cash before fleeing the location on foot, according to the news release.
